FISHING  DIARY  2010

JULY/August

It's been really great taking REEL EZ out on fishing trips. It's just a dream to ride on and oodles of power. Lots of stowage areas make it easy to bring and store all the equipment we like to have onboard. Just never know what we may be catching from day to day!

Look what I pulled off the bottom! I caught my first ever Wolf Fish...a scarey looking thing with a whole lotta teeth!!

On a seperate trip, I managed to hook not one...but TWO sand dollars! IN A ROW!!! My husband, Jamie, says I'm the only one who could pull off something like that...

Tuna and striped bass have been slowing up a bit. We are hoping to get a good bite on come September!

BIG NEWS!!!
Jamie and I are now certified Charter Boat Captains!!!   WOO - HOO!!!!!

MAY / JUNE

Fishing has been a little slow...Tuna fever is heating up again. We have been spending good weekends scouting out those elusive Blue Fins and coming home with groundfish galore!

Whale sightings have been down in number this year. We seem to find a dozen or so each trip but it is NOTHING to what we saw last year. Even the big stripers out deep are rare.

BIG NEWS!!!
My husband, Jamie, purchased a new boat. It is a new "leftover" 2008 Key West Center Console. It's length is 26' 8" and has a beam of 10'!! Jamie named her "Reel EZ".
Jamie and I have been going through the process of becoming Charter Boat Captains ourselves the past few months. It is a very serious endeavor...more than I thought it would be!!
We plan on offering our boat to 2-3 anglers for full and half day trips. I'll keep you updated here at GO GIRL FISH!

It is VERY IMPORTANT to me that clients of GO GIRL FISH have a GREAT time. We want you to go CATCHING with us and have fun fishing at the same time.
For now, please enjoy the dependable Captains that we currently offer. They are great guys to hang out with!

APRIL  COSTA  RICA  TRIP

Well, my first Tarpon...
HOLY CRAP!!

Went to an awesome place, The Silver King Lodge, which is 9 miles

south of the Nicaraguan border, on the Carribean side of Costa Rica.

They set you up with a guide and a decent center console, then off you
go down the Rio de Colorado into the ocean. Really awesome!

This place is not for the "faint of heart". You have to be able to deal

with the heat, humidity and a few creepy, crawly things!

But, the fishing is INCREDIBLE...
